Serse is an artist born in San Polo di Piave in 1952, currently resides and works in Trieste. After having rejected the use of colour, he constantly aims to seek expression through graphite drawing. Serse's artistic production, notable for its quality and intensity, focuses on the development of a rich reinterpretation of the landscape theme in contemporary art. His works in fact focus on the representation of seas, aquatic surfaces, plants reflecting on the water, cloudy skies, high mountains, snow-covered forests and natural spaces devoid of human figures. Through the skilful use of light and shadows, Serse manages to transform these natural images into true masterpieces. He considers graphite as the ideal medium for expressing his ideas, as it "allows both the tautological gesture of drawing to be performed and the creation of a work that does not lie about its nature as a pure drawing".
