Arnaldo Soldini Biography
Soldini Arnaldo (Brescia, 1862 - 1936) Arnaldo Soldini was an Italian painter. In Brescia he attended L. Campini's courses and dedicated himself to the theme of landscape, participating in Brescia exhibitions with works such as "Rain in the mountains", "Capodiponte", "Vespro in Valle Camonica" (1886). He participated in the Venice Biennale starting from 1887, at the Milan Permanente from 1888 and in 1899 he presented "Alpestre Landscape" at the Venice Biennale. His works were soon placed alongside those of famous artists such as Venturi, Filippini, Bertolotti and in 1910 he created several paintings such as "A storm", "Winter in Valcamonica", "Snow and water" and was elected member of the Civic University. In 1911 he painted “Alpine peaks”. Furthermore, the artist also enjoyed success among collectors, as his works conveyed the sincerity and feeling of the landscape. The following were sold: “Piazzetta del village” in 1896, “Houses in the mountains” in 1903 and “Inverno”, purchased by the Duke of Genoa.
