Francesco Soro was born in 1942 in Milan and graduated in Architecture at the Milan Polytechnic in 1968. After experimenting with various solutions in the field of architecture and furniture, in 1973 he started a business that would become one of the most important of his career, designing and building Roca Llisa, one of the most beautiful urbanizations on the island of Ibiza. In 1975 he designed the first table with triangular compositions "Tender" for Maddalena De Padova. He continued to make other products for De Padova, winning the "Compasso d'Oro" award with a custom-made sofa for Maddalena De Padova, which set a trend with the removable cover on the sofa. In the following years he designed products for other important companies in the sector. Over the last twenty years, Soro has dedicated himself to architecture, both public and private. In 1982 he created the new Department of Biology for the State University of Milan, winning the competition together with Vico Magistretti and collaborated with the same architect for the complex in Piazza Dateo in Milan, which however was never built. In recent years it has built a hotel complex in Leptis Magna, Libya, and another in Agrigento. Among his latest projects are a multifunctional and residential center in Dubino, a residential tourism project in Panama and an apartment project in Asso, Como.
