Tom Stepp was born in Denmark in 1950 and is one of the country's best-known designers. Over the years, he has received numerous awards for his mastery of creating strong, functional designs, including the Formland Award and the Scandinavian Furniture Award. He has extensive training and practice in various fields, including construction, design and architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. This background helped shape his personal expression, which can best be described as modern functionalism. Thanks to this solid knowledge base, Stepp has exceptional insight into what works from a practical perspective and it clearly shows in his diverse and "grounded" projects. At the same time, the understated beauty that Scandinavian design is renowned for is also evident. At the company MAKE nordic, Stepp is responsible, among other things, for the creation of the PRIMETIME armchair. He also designed the UBÆNK, which brings an authentic spa touch to your personal home decor.
