Svend Aage Madsen was born in 1928 and is an artist who has always taken inspiration from the Nordic countries in his artistic production. His particular attention is paid to the capture and reproduction of light, fog and eternal change. He expressed these themes through a wide range of art forms, including oil paintings, woodcuts, pastels, oil chalks, pencil drawings, cold needle etchings and monotypes. Furthermore, he has published three books. Svend Aage Madsen has also completed several study experiences in the Faroe Islands, Norway, Sweden and Finland. His works are present in collections on all six continents.
