Painter and decorator Giuseppe Talamoni, born in Monza in 1886. After graduating from the Brera Academy, he moved to Varese and in 1928 began working for the "Ghirla" crockery factory. In 1930, under the management of Carlo Ghisolfi Junior, the owner's son, an artistic ceramic section was inaugurated in the factory whose direction was entrusted to Talamoni. From 1932, a school of ceramic decoration was inaugurated within the manufacturing laboratories, under the direction of Talamoni. After the war he left Varese and moved to Laveno, where he was called to collaborate with the "SCI". In 1968 he died in Varese.
