Paolo Talevi, born in Fano in 1948, began his career as a photographer in the 1960s. He gained notoriety in the artistic environment for his significant collaboration with the Centrale Fotografia association. Talevi's work has found significant appreciation especially within the context of contemporary photographic language. Considered one of the most active artists in Fano, he made his debut with the book “Piazza delle Erbe” (Nuove Carte 1977) dedicated to the hard work of the greengrocers at the vegetable market, then he published other photographic books dedicated to his city: “We who are still tasty men ” (1978) on the passing of time in an elderly people's club, “Forbidden to enter” (1979) on the Teatro della Fortuna then still closed due to war damage, and “In the evening a group of street cleaners sweep the avenue” (1980) on Carnival of Fano, again edited by Nuove Carte editions of Giordano Perelli and created with the collaboration of the writer Marco Ferri.
