The painter Pham Tang was born in 1924 in Yen Mo, Nihn Binh, Vietnam. He studied painting and architecture at the Indochina Fine Arts College in Hanoi.

The painter Pham Tang was born in 1924 in Yen Mo, Nihn Binh, Vietnam. He studied painting and architecture at the Indochina Fine Arts College in Hanoi.
Fifteen years later, he crossed Europe and settled in Rome where he taught at the capital's Academy of Fine Arts. After graduating in painting and ornamental arts, he approached the study of sculpture and theatrical art. In 1967 he won the UNESCO prize. Lives and works in Paris.
