Tateishi Tiger (Fukuoka, 1941 - Chiba, 1998) Tiger Tateishi was a Japanese artist of the second half of the 20th century. His works were initially influenced by Pop Art, until later approaching the representation of scenes of daily life and problems linked to Japanese society. In the 1960s he dedicated himself to making cartoons, until he moved to Italy, where he worked as a designer at Olivetti. In the meantime, Tateishi continued to exhibit his works in various galleries, also representing symbolic figures of Japan, such as Mount Fuji, since the 1980s.
