Maurizio Tempestini Biography

Tempestini Maurizio (Florence, 1908-1960) Maurizio Tempestini was an Italian architect and designer of the first half of the 20th century. He studied at the Porta Romana Institute, where he obtained a diploma in Industrial Decoration. He also dedicated himself to theatrical scenography, creating sketches for the creation of theatrical costumes. The installations for "The Fashion Exhibition" at the Teatro della Pergola (1932) were important; for Gigli and his new comedy by L. Bonelli (1933); for “L'Osteria degli immortali di M. Massa” (1933); for “The Heartless Princess” (1933) and for “The story of the little soldier” (1934). Of note was the creation of the furnishings for the Casa Vallecchi in Florence, where he also carried out the wall decorations. In the 1930s he designed furnishing objects for Ceramiche Cantagalli in Florence and for Vetrerie e Seguso in Murano.
