Monica Temporiti Biography
He studied advertising and editorial graphics in Milan, then landed professionally in the publishing world. His painting, to which he has dedicated himself again since 2010, is based on national and European abstract-geometric avant-gardes with references to American Minimalism. The lines, which run through his harmonious and rational compositions, are always well structured: cotton threads or strips of canvas are applied to the canvases. The exhibition “Divina Proporzione”, which was held in 2015 at Palazzo Chigi in Viterbo, documents the importance of the mathematical principle in the subdivision of the surface in the artist's works. From 2014 to today his exhibition path has been intense, developing between personal and collective exhibitions, as well as a constant presence of his works in national, European and American art fairs. June 2017 debut in Germany with the exhibition Proporzioni/Proportionen Monica Temporiti at Frankfurter Westend Galerie, Frankfurt, Germany. Linearity, balance, elegance are the peculiar characteristics of Monica Temporiti's geometric abstractionism. A refined simplicity closely linked to the type of technique used in his works; acrylics on canvas with applied canvas strips, which give his compositions a light three-dimensionality and contribute to achieving a perfect chromatic balance.
