Terzi Aleandro (Palermo, 1870 - Castelletto sopra Ticino, 1943) Aleardo Terzi studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo. In 1982 he moved to Rome, where he was asked to collaborate with the newspaper "La Tribuna illustrata". In 1898 he dedicated himself to the creation of postcards and music book covers; he was also an illustrator and designer for the Ricordi graphic workshops. He moved to Bologna to collaborate with the most important magazines and newspapers of that time. After an initial period in which allegorical figures were prevalent in his works, Terzi created two important works in the history of Posters in Italy: “The monkey brushing his teeth with Dentol” of 1914 and “the puppy with a brush in its mouth” of 1921. Between 1913 and 1915 he was one of the designers of the "Roman Secession", in whose exhibitions he exhibited some of his paintings, while preparing covers for catalogues. In 1925 he became director of the “Urbino Book Institute” and in 1928 he became director of the graphic studio of the “Secession” from Vienna.
