Silvano Tessarollo Biography
Silvano Tessarollo was born in 1956 in Bassano del Grappa. He stands out as an artist who divides his activity between that of an advertising graphic designer and that of a visual artist, located in Trezze sul Brenta. He knows materials and their use in art, and, combined with the desire to personally create each of his artistic works, from the most playful and symbolic made in wax, to the most schematic geometries of nature with matter, he demonstrates an artist always in motion who does not hesitate to pursue important aesthetic results. In continuous search for new stimuli and impulses, he is not attracted by the stylistic trends of the moment, but by his artistic and socio-cultural feeling. The first known Tessarollo is the one who "takes inspiration from the childhood imagination of games; puppets, gadgets and cartoon characters are incorporated into wax to then be reproduced in photography, creating new and disturbing icons". Tessarollo uses double meanings and metaphors with great mastery, bringing an artistic genre such as still life into contemporaneity, transforming it into living nature in his works. In fact, Tessarollo's latest works include earth, seeds, flowers, grass, the reflection of a sensitivity that is not only a warning for inattentive and irresponsible contemporary civilization but also respectful and therefore restless, since the artist's lifestyle it becomes art itself, generating great aesthetic pleasure for the sensitive and attentive observer.
