TORO CARMINE Naples, 1861 - 1911 He completed his training in Naples under the guidance of G. Toma and D. Morelli and painted portraits (Portraits of the Royal Family of Italy, Summonte, Town Hall), genre scenes and frescoes of religious subjects. He made his debut at the Neapolitan Promotrice in 1883 (Without remorse); in 1888 he sent Affranta and in 1890 Tornano i Fiori (Naples, coll. Banco di Napoli), a poetic theme created with sureness of touch and which is influenced by the melancholic intimacy of G. Toma. He exhibited again until 1904 (1891, The Eve of St. John; 1892, Più niente!; 1897, In the attic; 1904, Pax in simbulo).
