Flaminio Torri (Bologna, 1621 – Modena, 1661) was an Italian painter. A pupil of Giacomo Cavedoni first and then of Simone Cantarini, upon the latter's death he inherited the workshop together with Lorenzo Pasinelli. He worked in the early years in Bologna, creating the Adoration of the Magi in the San Giuseppe museum and the Deposition by night light in the National Art Gallery. Among the most significant works of his public production is the altarpiece of Sant'Antonio and the Bambino Gesù in the Osservanza church in Imola. Among the private commissions, for which he executed numerous holy families and half-figures of various subjects, we should mention some versions of Saint Francis in ecstasy, the Holy Family of Dresden, a Madonna and Child in the Amata Collection, and a series of preserved canvases in the Pallavicini Gallery. Subsequently the painter moved to Modena in the service of Alfonso IV d'Este with the role of superintendent of the collections.
