Piero Tramonta was born in 1951 in Bovezzo, (BS) where he lives and works. His artistic training was generated by a profound need to express himself visually, while his expressive abilities were then directed by some painting and drawing courses attended at the AAB in Brescia. However, Tramonta's tireless pictorial production, over the years, led him to acquire an enviable technical security: the paintings of his first period, always figurative, represented surreal landscapes in which the subjects were sometimes faces, sometimes painful anatomies, sometimes animals. . The "figurative" characteristic of Piero Tramonta's work, however, over time, became exhausted and artistic research entered the field of experimentation and purely free expression. And it was precisely from that moment on that the artist's work was followed with great interest by critics: from 1987 to today, Tramonta's work has been exhibited in 52 solo exhibitions.
