Salvatore Tropea Biography
Salvatore Tropea was born in Milo (CT) in 1943. He is a painter, sculptor and engraver. It operated in Switzerland, Germany and France. He attended the advanced painting course at the State Institute of Art in Catania. He learned lost wax casting at Arturo Bruni in Rome. He was a ceramic creator at "Bay Keramik Fabrik" in Ransbach Westerwad (Germany). He studied copperplate engraving with master Eugenio Tomiolo in Milan. He actively participates in Italian and international artistic life and has numerous personal collective exhibitions and awards to his credit. He has held exhibitions in Paris, London, Berlin, München, Düsseldorf, Milan, Rome, Verona, Rovigo, Vicenza, Catania, Turin, Florence, Padua, Ferrara, Reggio C., Trieste, Basel, Freiburg, Ravenna, Badia P., Manchester, Bologna, etc. He has been reviewed by important art critics in newspapers, magazines and art books and is included in the History of Art ed. Ciranna & Seregno (MI) 1997 by S. Saglimbeni, while he is listed in numerous yearbooks and Bolaffi.
