Disma Tumminello is a well-known Italian sculptor and aesthetic operator, born in 1930 in Mazara del Vallo. After attending the Art School and the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo, he continued his studies at the Salzburg Academy. Following his academic career, he obtained the title of professorship at the Liceo Artistico of Palermo, before taking his well-deserved retirement in 1990.
During his professional activity, Tumminello has dedicated his art to sculpture and aesthetic operation. He therefore created numerous works, many of which have been acquired in prestigious public and private collections. In particular, some of his works are permanently exhibited at the Agrifoglio gallery in Milan, at Arte al Borgo in Palermo and at the Wiesner Art Gallery in Brooklyn, New York.
In carrying out his artistic activity, Tumminello has found a home in the Contemporary Art Studio "Officina del Politeama", located in Palermo. Thanks to his excellent creativity and artistic sensitivity, his work has been recognized internationally and has received numerous awards.
