Adriano Tuninetto was an Italian painter born in 1930 in Pancalieri. He contributed to the development of art in the twentieth century, exploring various artistic currents such as expressionism and informal art. He won the "Pirelli Prize" for painting in 1955 and had a solo exhibition in 1956 in Milan. He attended Filippo Scroppo's school and approached the CO.BR.A. movement, developing his expressionistic motifs in a personal way. Subsequently, he experimented with informal art creating abstract works and oil paintings that explore color variations. In the 1960s he concentrated on action painting using broad strokes of color. He is considered an important representative of gestural art in Italy. He also carried out important research in the field of ceramics and experimented with glass processing. His works are preserved in various Italian and international museums. Tuninetto died in Turin on 17 April 2004.
