Lorena Uppiani Biography

Lorena Ulpiani, born in Albignasego in 1955, is the daughter of a painter. He studied literature with an artistic focus, earning a degree at the University of Verona. After graduating, she embarked on a career as a professional journalist, working as a reporter for more than 20 years. Always fascinated by the geometric language, she studied aspects related to color, also directing her studies to the sacred art of Europe, China and Tibet. His artistic breakthrough occurred almost by chance in 2011, when he held his first solo exhibition in Cortina d'Ampezzo. In 2012, he joined Giulia Sillato's Metaformism platform. In three years, he has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions from London to New York, from Vienna to Paris, from Monte Carlo to Rome, and to Barcelona. His works have become part of private and public collections in Italy and abroad. In 2015, he abandoned journalism to dedicate himself completely to painting, holding personal exhibitions in the Marche and Padua. He deepened his study of frescoes with the master Vico Calabrò and enriched his oil works with marble dust and enamel inserts. Last November, he founded the "99Quanti - Research group on quantum art and mechanics", espousing the thoughts of sociologist Gian Paolo Prandstraller on the need for a new artistic vision.
