Svetlana Vladimirovna Bondarenko was born in Voronezh, Russia, in 1935. She obtained her artistic education at the Kiev Academy of Art, where she completed her studies in 1961. As an exponent of socialist realism, she developed a vast body of art which includes portraits, landscapes, still lifes and genre scenes. Since 1969, Bondarenko has regularly exhibited his works in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Some of his works are kept in prestigious institutions such as the National Art Museum of Ukraine in Kiev, the Poltava Art Museum, as well as in private collections in Europe and the United States.
