Roberto Vecchione was born in 1945 and lived and worked as a sculptor in Milan. His sculptural work, identified as "mental", is characterized by a rigorous abstract-geometric scheme conceived on the basis of rhythmic modules. He works on the principles of repetition, translation and symmetry, obtaining these results thanks to the use of aluminum castings. His works are distinguished by the constant succession of curved and interrupted lines that develop within the forms, alternating with circles and ellipses, cylindrical cavities and smooth, straight surfaces. All this invites a unitary perception and a quick scan, revealing a dynamic character and an ascending movement. Roberto Vecchione passed away in 2011 in Milan.
