Ernesto Villanueva, born in Havana in 1970, still resides and works in the same city. His field of activity is that of painting, with an academic path that saw the achievement of a degree in engineering followed by the achievement of a further qualification at the José Antonio Echeverría Higher Technical Institute in Engineering and Drawing in 1994. His his first personal exhibition, entitled "Bosquejos de Colores", dates back to 1995 and took place at the Mariano Rodríguez Art Gallery of Villa Panamerica in Havana. Among the most important exhibitions in which his abstract paintings were protagonists, we highlight a series created in 2009 and entitled "Summer in my Garden", which he also drew on to bring various paintings during his personal events. Villanueva is also active in the sphere of sculpture and printmaking, thus expanding his work into different art forms.
