Enrico Vizzotto-Alberti was born in Oderzo in 1880. He was initiated into art by his brother Giuseppe Vizzotto Alberti and later in Venice he followed the figure and nude course held by the master Luigi Nono. He established himself as a landscape painter, making his debut in 1906 at the International Exhibition in Milan with two paintings, “Endimione” and “Giudecca Canal at Sunset”. He later took part in the International Exhibitions in Rome (1911) and Barcelona. Having fought during the First World War, he recalls the war scenes in his works, including "Lancers".
He also exhibited at the Ca' Pesaro exhibitions in Venice, Pordenone, Treviso, Udine, Padua, alternating oil sketches with black and white squares.
