André Charles Voillemot, born on 13 December 1822 in Paris and died in the same city on 9 April 1893, was a French painter and illustrator.
Son of Jules François Voillemot, blacksmith, and Marie Suzanne Armande Dutertre, Voillemot studied with Michel Martin Drolling. He made his debut at the Salon of 1845 and until 1848 he exhibited only portraits which did not attract public attention.
After the fire of the theater of the castle of Fontainebleau in 1856, he created the allegorical figures of "La Poesia", "La Musica", "La Renommée" and "Génie des arts".
It represented the neo-rococo style fashionable under the Second Empire.
In 1865 he married Clotilde Pauline Deuff.
