James Tibbits Willmore (Birmingham September 1800 – 12 March 1863 London) was a British engraver.

James Tibbits Willmore (Birmingham September 1800 – 12 March 1863 London) was a British engraver.
Willmore's father, James Willmore, was a silverware manufacturer. At the age of fourteen he was apprenticed to the Birmingham engraver William Radclyffe. He married and in 1823 went to London where he worked for Charles Heath for three years. Subsequently he worked on the plates of the “Passes of the Alps” series by William Brockedon and the “England and Wales” series by Turner.
He made recordings by authors such as Chalon, Leitch, Stanfield, Landseer, Eastlake, Creswick and Ansdell, but above all by Turner. He made a number of Turner's large single plates, including “Ancient Italy” in 1842. In 1843 he was elected associate engraver of the academy.
