Robert Yarber (born 1948 in Dallas, Texas) lives and works in Pennsylvania.
Since the 1970s, Yarber has created his own psychedelic paintings, gaining international recognition with the exhibition "Paradise Lost/Paradise Regained: American Visions of the New Decade", organized in the American pavilion of the 41st Venice Biennale in 1984. Yarber has gained further visibility at the 1985 Whitney Biennial.
Recent exhibitions include “Anamorphic! Sublime!”, Galeria Nicodim, Bucharest (2019, solo); “Return of the Repressed”, Nicodim Gallery, Los Angeles (2018, solo); “Panic Pending”, Reflex Amsterdam, Holland (2014, solo).
His works can be found in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York; the Paine Webber Art Collection in New York; the Broad Museum in Los Angeles; and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, to name a few.
