Giuseppe Zanetti was born in Vicenza in 1891. From a young age he demonstrated great talent. He was an Alpine officer and actively took part in the First World War. For his courageous behavior, he was awarded two war merit crosses. In 1923, on August 27, he received the title of Knight of the Order of the Crown of Italy. His love for the mountains and the peaks led him to preside over the Vicenza section of the CAI in the three-year period 1937-1939. In 1920 she participated in the twelfth edition of the International Art Exhibition of the City of Venice, exhibiting her plaster sculpture entitled "Wandering Maternity". Zanetti held numerous prestigious positions, which he carried out with great zeal and passion: he was a member of the Building and Decoration Commission of the Municipality of Vicenza from 1922 to 1957; member and vice-president of the School of Arts and Crafts from 1926 to 1935; member of the founding committee of the Risorgimento Museum; member of the Jury Commission at the XIV International Art Exhibition in Venice. The great artist died in Vicenza in 1967.
