BRUNO ZANICHELLI (Turin 1963 - Collegno 1990) Who died prematurely in January 1990 at just 27 years old, in his short life the artist had the opportunity to fascinate the public and critics with his very fresh painting, which originated from the world of illustration and of comics, riding the Italian wave of those years, inventing a new language. One of the founders of the so-called "Turin School" movement which emerged at the end of the 1980s, among its protagonists in addition to Bruno Zanichelli, Pier Luigi Pusole, Enrico De Paris and Daniele Galliano, this movement is included in that trend called "Medialism ” by Gabriele Perretta, a term coined in a 1993 catalogue, to highlight a figurative trend that “took iconographic and stylistic cues from the mass media: photography, cinema, video, computer graphics, advertising, comics and video games.
