Domenico Bernardo Zilotti, born in Borgo near Bassano in 1730, was a landscape painter and engraver. Together with Francesco Zuccarelli, Zilotti completed a series of engravings on military subjects, based on works by Francesco Simonini. Some of his etchings have also been attributed to Marco Ricci. Zilotti also experimented with the copper engraving technique, following in the footsteps of the great masters Wagner and Bartolozzi. Thanks to his talent and passion, the painter created numerous original compositions, but also reproductions of works by other contemporary artists, such as Francesco Simonini and Michele Marieschi. Domenico Bernardo Zilotti died in 1780 in Bassano del Grappa.
