Arnaldo Zuccari was born in Brescia in 1861. His father Innocente practiced the profession of goldsmith at the church of San Lorenzo. From a wealthy family, Arnaldo had nothing to worry about his future in his youth. In addition to the house in the city, the family owned a property in San Zeno, a rustic house and manor house; summer place much loved and painted in a long series of works. In the nineteenth century Brescia did not have an academy: to study one went to Milan or Venice, otherwise one could settle for the "Moretto" Civic School of Drawing, where from 1866 Luigi Campini was the teacher of an entire generation of local painters such as Filippini, Soldini, Lombardi, Glisenti and obviously our Zuccari. In 1887 he exhibited for the first time at Arte in Famiglia (the famous artists' circle), with some works that received a certain consensus.
