A copper figure of Shiva Pashupati Northern India, 17th - 18th century
Grande fusione in lega a base di rame raffigurante Shiva nella versione Signore degli Animali, in postura stante su una base quadrata a due livelli. La figura è riccamente abbellita da complessi gioielli ed è caratterizzata da quattro braccia: le secondarie brandiscono un'ascia ed una gazzella, mentre le primarie sono rivolte con i palmi verso l'esterno. Dalla corona fuoriesce una piccola testa femminile raffigurante una delle sue consorti.
