A large copper repoussé Veerabhadra plaque Southern India, 18th century
A shield plaque executed according to the classical iconography that features the figure of Shiva in his warrior version in a central position, flanked by Daksha distinguished by his ram's head and Bhadrakali. The sun and moon symbols, a Shivalinga and a small depiction of Nandi complete the composition.
