A large figure of two-faced reliquary, Obamba / Kota Gabon
A monumental janus "guardian" of reliquary. Brass and copper foil on a wooden support. The right has a concave stylized face surmounted by a large rounded front, while the reverse, is covered by a thick, black encrusted patina. Provenance: Parisian collection of the painter Arturo Carmassi (Lucca 1925 - Empoli 2015).
