Illuminated manuscript on paper, in Arabic. Measurements of the leaf 305x205 mm, portion of the leaf covered in writing 231x138 mm. Text written in Naskh script on a single column of 17 lines with black ink. Consisting of 228 leaves, complete. The decorations include a double title page (unwan) illuminated in gold and colors. All pages are framed by a decorative line in red. The colophon reads: completed on the third day at dawn by Muhammed al Hiramr Manthur in the year 1022. The date, in red, was amended later with black ink to 1122. Leather binding with golden and tooling decorations. Some woodworms caused holes were restored on the white parts. The text begins with a “captatio benevolentiae” for the Prophet and Islam; following are 73 chapters with prayers and invocations to the Prophet. From chapter 22 (l. 74 v.) the invocations are followed by an answer, likely to be intended as directions for communal prayers.
