A thangka depicting Vajrapani Tibet, 18th-19th century
Painting on canvas, rolled with its original brocade fabric, depicting the god of rain in his classical iconography with the vajra in his right hand, the snake necklace and the legs in pratyalidha position. The composition includes many other characters amongst whom arhats and disciples of the Red Hat sect (Sakya).
