In 1982, on the occasion of the Florentine stage of the monographic exhibition Roy Lichtenstein 1970-1980, it was the artist himself who wanted his pictorial work Cow Triptych (Cow Going Abstract) of 1974 to be reproduced in a graphic series. The serigraphy, published by the Alinari brothers, was printed in a number of about 450 copies, of which only 150 were trimmed with the text on the right and were numbered and signed in pencil by Roy Lichtenstein.
