Dogon, Mali. Iron necklace pendant.
This ancient forged and twisted pincer- or tong-shaped iron was both a ritual iron and the pendant of a necklace once popular among the Dogon of Mali.
This specimen appears to be accompanied by a bell ring and a notable patina of rust with obvious ancient signs of use.
