Elegant walking stick made of compact wood and silver. Italy, 19th cent.
On the handle we find the inscription: 'Accademia degli Incamminati'. This prestigious Academy was founded in Bologna in 1580 and was attended by artists such as Annibale Carracci and scientists such as Ulisse Aldrovandi.
