Sculpture depicting a standing figure made of brown patina wood with kaolin highlights. The subject represented, characterized by the shape of the ears, small and circular, is probably a masculine protective spirit. Sculptures of this kind, associated with various functions, are commonly used by curators and fortune-tellers. Provenance: Parisian collection of the painter Arturo Carmassi (Lucca 1925 - Empoli 2015). This piece was purchased directly by Jacques Kerchache (1942 - 2001) around the mid-1980s.
