Leaf from a lost Jaina manuscript, which must have been of excellent quality, judging from the richness of colors and the elegance of the text from this page, which reads: om namo visvanathaya / / visvasthi ... The first five verses of the text show a payer addressed to the five Jaina enjoying the biggest following, and who are depicted on the right of the text. From the color of their skin and their specific attributes the following can be identified: Rsabha, Santi, Nemi, Mahavira and Parsva, each of them in a marble temple. The page is decorated by stylized floral ornaments at the edges of the text and by rich plant composition on the margins. The original text of the Satrunjaya Mahatma was composed in Sanskrit during the XV century by Dhanesvara Suri, and is a praise to the pilgrimage to Satrunjaya (better known as Palitana) in Gujarat. This leaf was displayed at the Rubin Museum of New York during the 2009-2010 exhibition "Victorius Ones: Jain images of Perfection" and published on the catalogue with the same name, pp. 282-283.
