Forged iron currency, Loma / Kissi Liberia / Serra Leone
lot consisting of 11 forged iron coins. This type of currency, (called "Kissi penny" by Westerners) in 1905, was worth a British penny. Collected in paket of twenty pieces, called Bourons, Kissy pennies were used as a dowry in weddings or in some religious rituals.
