Lot 116
the metal structure has been recreated by reducing the size, since the unusable original version measured nine meters by three meters, and was built specifically for the Bristol hotel in Merano, (it was owner Arnaldo Bennati's dream) whose interiors were considered sensational. Under the supervision of architect Marino Meo, the production of some unique and unrepeatable furnishings was entrusted to, among others, craftsmen-artists like Louis Scremin of Belluno and Virgilio Guidi. But it was in the lighting that the Bristol reached a quality that was hard to beat by involving Seguso Vetri D'arte and Flavio Poli as the designer (his are the great chandeliers of Seguso).
