The decoration on the top of this hair pin appears to be worked in the shape of old-cut diamonds.
Used by wealthy Indonesian women to fasten their chignons during festivals, these hairpins are very similar to those worn by the Portuguese Nonyas of Malacca, but made by Chinese craftsmen.
