Ivory Coast - Baulè Anthropomorphic sculpture. Hard wood with black patina, beads and pigments. Signs of use.
Baulè anthropomorphic sculpture with red eyes, probably of colonial times seen the little elaborated style of the hairstyle and the non-existence of the scarifications on the body, of good quality of carving and balanced proportions. Also beautiful is the black patina that reveals the worn wood grain and the numerous signs of use.
Moving to finally observe the only "jewel" used to "embellish" this figure: a rope with two small beads.
