Weft and warp in cotton, pile in high quality silk wool, depicting a landscape view in typical Chinese style, with two cranes in the foreground. In the background is a pagoda behind which is a landscape with water and rocks that give depth to the depiction. Fine knot and high quality knotting technique allow for a sharp and precise design. The artefact is soft and in good condition considering its age, some signs of wear and corrosion in the brown colours (indicating an age of more than 100 years), complete with headpieces and borders.
