Pair of porcelain plates painted in iron red and blue underglaze with gold highlights. China, Qing Dynasty Kangxi period.
In the centre are elegantly dressed figures in a buggy drawn by two ragged horses. A servant behind them protects them with a parasol. The central motif is surrounded by a moulded border with blue reserves of naturalistic subjects of branches and flowers.
