Dark patina wooden mask. This mask belongs to the Baule tradition of the so-called portrait masks used during the dances of the Mblo celebrations.
An idealized female face is here depicted according to Baule's canons of beauty. In addition to some classic decorations that show scarifications, the open mouth with visible teeth is noted.
