Imposing figure belonging to a large reliquary linked to the Bwete cult of the skulls. The menacing hyperstized figure guarding the sacred ancestral content of the reliquary is made of wood and metal according to the aesthetic canons of the Mahonwe group of the Kota.
Provenance: Milanese private collection formed around the 1950s.
