The artwork is part of a project created for the Galleria Il Segnapassi in Pesaro, which was intended to consist of a series of 100 collages in 100 different colors. Each color was meant to have an edition of 10 copies. However, the project was never completed, and some colors were never produced. The artwork was originally sold with the exhibition book of Mario Ceroli at the Salone Metaurense in Palazzo Ducale in Pesaro, July 8 - September 30, 1972, with photographs by Ugo Mulas and Giorgio Colombo.
